Discussion
A cool frontal system will approach the region later today and this will enhance our chances for showers and thunderstorms and some of the storms that form can be on the strong side with gusty winds and brief downpours. It’ll stay somewhat unsettled, quite warm and humid for the next couple of days and another shower or thunderstorm cannot be ruled out on either day. The weekend will feature a solid round of showers and thunderstorms as a cool front arrives in the Mid-Atlantic region late Saturday/early Sunday. The passage of the weekend frontal system should bring us some relief by early next week as far the warmth and humidity is concerned.
