Discussion

Booming thunderstorms in the overnight hours dumped copious amounts of rainfall on SE PA and much of southern and central NJ and the action is not over yet. Today will be another volatile day with a continued threat for showers and thunderstorms and some of the rain can be heavy at times. Once the low pressure system that is contributing to this instability pulls away from the area later this evening, high pressure will build in and the result will be a couple of nice, comfortable days for this time of year. The weather will become more unsettled again over the weekend as another frontal system pushes towards the Mid-Atlantic region.
