Discussion
The new work week will start off quite nice with dry and cool conditions thanks in large part to strong high pressure to our north. Meanwhile, some of the tropical moisture that remains from Pacific Ocean Hurricane Patricia will interact with a frontal system and head in our direction over the couple of days. The tropical moisture will be forced to ride up and over a chilly air mass that is currently in place here in the Mid-Atlantic region anchored by strong high pressure to the north. As a result, rain is likely around here late tomorrow night and Wednesday and some of the rain can fall heavily at times. Also, winds could be quite gusty on Wednesday and there can be a rumble of thunder. A cold front slides through on Thursday – perhaps accompanied by a shower or two – and then it turns cooler to end the week.
