Discussion
Milder air will push back into the Mid-Atlantic region later today as winds shift direction from the east to the south-to-southwest. A few showers are possible later today and early tonight with the return of the milder air and then more significant rainfall is coming late tonight and on Thursday as a strong cold front reaches the I-95 corridor. The passage of that initial cold frontal system and a secondary weekend cold front will produce progressively colder weather around here from Friday into Sunday. In fact, Sunday should turn out to be the coldest day of the season so far and there will be a strong NW wind to make it feel even colder.
