Discussion
A strong cold front is pushing through the area today and it’ll generate occasional showers in the Mid-Atlantic region and perhaps even an isolated thunderstorm or two. Colder air pushes in for the end of the work week following today’s frontal passage and then even colder air will arrive on Sunday behind a mid-weekend secondary cold frontal passage. In fact, Sunday promises to be the coldest day of the season so far in the Mid-Atlantic region and there will be a noticeable NW wind to make it feel even colder than the actual air temperatures. The early season unusual chill will continue on Monday as well to begin the new work week.
