Discussion
A cold frontal system passed through the region last night and a large low pressure system will lift out of the southern Plains and into the Great Lakes region later today into Tuesday. The result here will be more rainfall and it should be just cold enough for ice pellets to mix in at times across the northern and western suburbs. Another low pressure system will pass northwest of our area late in the week and it will sweep another cold front to the east coast bringing a more sustained colder pattern change for the beginning of 2016.
