Discussion
Weak area of low pressure will cross the region later today and tonight and it is likely to generate some patchy clouds and perhaps a late night shower. High pressure builds back into the area during the next couple of days and it’ll turn much milder as we approach the weekend. In fact, 60+ degrees are likely each day this weekend for high temperatures and it should stay rain free. Looking ahead, the overall temperature pattern will change as we progress through the second half of December. One cold shot should arrive in the eastern US around the 17th of the month and then an even colder outbreak may arrive just before Christmas as we "step-down" to more normal cold.
