Discussion
After a chilly start, it’ll turn milder this afternoon as high pressure pushes off the Mid-Atlantic coastline and low-level winds shift to a southwesterly direction. A cold frontal system will approach on Wednesday and bring with it a good chance of showers in the Mid-Atlantic region. It’ll cool down again on Thursday behind that frontal passage and then an even stronger cold frontal passage will take place later Friday. This late week system will usher in the coldest air of the season so far. In fact, high temperatures on Saturday should struggle to reach the 50 degree mark and there will be a noticeable wind to accompany the chill.
