Discussion

A weak cool front will pass through the region this morning and showers are likely between mid-morning and mid-day. Winds will pick up and could gust past 35 mph this afternoon as partial sunshine returns. A strong front will approach from the Midwest at mid-week and additional showers are likely ahead of this frontal system late Tuesday night and early Wednesday. Colder air will follow for the latter part of the week and a storm near the southern Mid-Atlantic coastline could throw some snow our way Thursday night and early Friday.
