Discussion

An easterly flow at the low-levels of the atmosphere today will keep a lid on temperatures despite some sunshine. Periods of rain are likely late tonight into early Friday as a strong cool front arrives and there can be a thunderstorm or two mixed in. Some of the rain towards morning and early Friday can be briefly heavy. The Easter weekend is looking decent with “pleasantly cool, dry and sunny” conditions on Saturday and then “sun followed by increasing clouds” on Sunday. Showers are likely to return to the Mid-Atlantic region later Sunday night and continue on Monday as moisture from the southeastern states pushes in our direction.
