Discussion
A strong cold front will sweep through our region today and it will not go through unnoticed. Rain this morning will fall briefly heavily at times and - in the wake of the frontal passage later today - winds will intensify dramatically with wind gusts past 50 mph possible from mid-afternoon through the evening. High pressure will build into the region by tomorrow as a chilly air mass settles in on the region. It’ll turn milder later this week, but then a strong cold front arrives this weekend and this frontal passage will usher in a colder-than-normal stretch of weather for the eastern US beginning on Sunday and lasting for much of the first ten days of April.
