Discussion

A major warm up got underway yesterday across the eastern US as high pressure pushed off the east coast allowing for the formation of a broad southwesterly flow of air into the region. Temperatures this afternoon should flirt with the 70 degree mark in the Philly metro region and then record warmth is possible on Wednesday and Thursday with temperatures expected to soar well up into the 70’s on those two days. A late week cool frontal passage will bring temperatures back down slightly on Friday and then clouds and showers are likely this weekend along with even cooler conditions, but still above normal for this time of year.
