Discussion

A slow-moving cold front will approach from the north today and the result will be increasing instability in the atmosphere and the threat for showers and scattered strong thunderstorms. Any strong thunderstorm during the mid-day or afternoon hours can contain heavy downpours, damaging winds and small hail. High pressure will bring about some clearing for Wednesday, but then low pressure will approach from the west on Thursday and the threat for showers will increase once again and that threat will linger into Friday.
