Discussion
A cold front arrives in the Mid-Atlantic region later today with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Some of the thunderstorms can be on the strong-to-severe side; especially, in the southern half of the Philly metro region. High pressure will then briefly regain control on Wednesday, but low pressure from the Upper Midwest will quickly follow on its heels on Thursday bringing with it occasional rain and possible thunderstorms. Some of the rain on Thursday can be heavy and some of the storms can be on the strong-to-severe side. Looking ahead, it looks nice for Friday and the weekend as high pressure returns to the region.
