Discussion
While there can be another shower or thunderstorm as we close out the work week, high pressure will gradually build into the region later today and it’ll pave the way for another nice weekend in DC, Philly and NYC. Temperatures this weekend will climb well up into the 80’s on each day and there should be plenty of sunshine. A frontal system will approach the area early next week and it should bring about an increased chance for showers and thunderstorms by late Monday and Tuesday. Looking ahead, there is still no extended heat wave in sight for the Mid-Atlantic region.
