Discussion
There was some soaking rain overnight and a slow-moving cold front will continue to threaten the Mid-Atlantic region with showers and thunderstorms later today, and some of the storms can be on the strong side with gusty winds and possible hail. The front should finally push far enough off the coast on Wednesday to allow for high pressure to build back into the area with lowering humidity and the return of sunshine. Another frontal system will arrive late in the week and it'll likely result in unsettled weather conditions on Friday with scattered showers and thunderstorms. An isolated shower or thunderstorm is possible on Saturday, but all in all, the holiday weekend looks pretty decent at this point.
