Discussion
High pressure has shifted off the east coast and from this “Bermuda High” position it will promote an increasingly moist low-level flow of air from the Deep South into the Mid-Atlantic region. At the same time, a weak cold front will slowly slide eastward into the Mid-Atlantic region over the next couple of days and this combination of increasing humidity and an approaching frontal system will increase chances for showers and thunderstorms beginning as early as late this morning this. The hottest two days of the week are likely to be Thursday and Friday when temperatures should climb into the 90's. The front is likely to stall nearby this weekend and that will likely keep it somewhat unsettled around here into early next week.
