Discussion
Today will be quite hot and steamy, but Wednesday promises to be very pleasant with comfortable temperatures and humidity – in between a strong cold frontal passage. Temperatures today will climb well into the 90’s along the I-95 corridor and, as a strong cold front approaches, the chances will grow for late day and evening showers and thunderstorms and some of the storms can be strong. The best chance for strong thunderstorms will be in the northern and western suburbs of the metro area as there will be a tendency for some weakening of this frontal system as it slides closer to the coast. High pressure pushes back into the region on Tuesday following the frontal passage and humidity levels should drop noticeably during the day. Nice weather on Wednesday and Thursday will be followed by another hot spell for Friday, Saturday and Sunday as temperatures climb back into the 90’s.
