Discussion

A strong cold front whipped through the region last night and today will turn out much cooler than yesterday with a touch of fall in the air. The cooler-than-normal conditions will continue tomorrow as well, and we’ll be close to normal this weekend. A frontal system will approach on Saturday night and Sunday and the chance for showers and thunderstorms will increase - and we can certainly use some rain. In fact, some moisture from the tropical system in the Southeast US (“Julia”) could actually interact with the approaching frontal system and enhance rainfall amounts in our region.
