Discussion
It’ll turn milder today ahead of a cold frontal system with afternoon temperatures climbing past the 50 degree mark. Following the frontal passage, it’ll turn moderately cold for Wednesday and Thursday only to turn milder again at the end of the week. Unfortunately, the late week warm up is likely to come with some rain in the Mid-Atlantic region for late Friday and Saturday. Looking ahead, brutal cold air will plunge into the Northern Plains this weekend and colder-than-normal air is likely spread to the Mid-Atlantic region right around Christmas Day (Monday).
