Discussion
A strong cold front dropped through the region last night and ushered in yet another Arctic air mass which will keep us well below normal for the next couple of days. In addition to the cold, the winds will be quite strong today lowering wind chill values considerably from the actual air temperatures. Low temperatures should fall way down into the teens in most suburban locations by early tomorrow morning. It stays colder-than-normal on Thursday, but the winds should die down noticeably as Arctic high pressure moves directly overhead from the Ohio Valley and this will relax the pressure gradient. There will be a rebound in temperatures on Friday and then even warmer conditions as we begin the weekend, but a cool down is likely on Sunday and Monday along with an increasing chance of showers.
