Discussion
High pressure has shifted to a location off the east coast and this re-positioning will allow for very warm and humid air to flow into the Mid-Atlantic region from the Deep South. As a result, high temperatures for the next few days are likely to climb to within a few degrees of the 90 degree mark to go along with more noticeable humidity levels. As far as precipitation is concerned, while there can be an isolated shower or thunderstorm today and tonight and again early next week, the best chance for showers and thunderstorms through next Tuesday is likely to come later tomorrow and tomorrow night as a frontal system approaches the region and some of these storms can be strong-to-severe.
