Discussion

High pressure ridging over the western Atlantic will keep a moist, southeasterly flow of air in place across central Florida and this will allow the east coast sea breeze to move inland. As a result, the best chance of shower and thunderstorm activity today will be at interior locations, but that threat will increase around here later in the week. One final note, the tropics are looking more and more active and there may be a threat to monitor near Florida by the weekend or sometime next week.
