Discussion
A cold frontal system will approach the region today and likely generate showers and thunderstorms - some of the storms can reach strong-to-severe levels. This front will stall out in the general vicinity over the next 24 hours keeping us unsettled at mid-week and we’ll stay rather hot. By early Thursday, this front will push northward, but then high pressure should build across southeastern Canada and the Great Lakes region by Friday which will force this same frontal system back to the south and it should finally clear the I-95 corridor by the weekend. There is the chance for some heavy rainfall on Thursday night and Friday as this frontal system finally passes through the region.
