Discussion

High pressure ridging over the western Atlantic will continue to provide us with a moist, easterly flow of air and this will allow the east coast sea breeze to move inland. As a result, the best chance of shower and thunderstorm activity today will be at interior locations, but that threat will exist near the coast as well. An enhancement of the easterly flow on Thursday will increase moisture levels around here and our prospects for rain will increase somewhat. Meanwhile, the tropics are looking more and more active and there is an area of tropical moisture that we’re monitoring closely as it could reach the Bahamas in the near future.
