Discussion

An upper-level wave of energy will combine with a slow-moving surface cold front to enhance our shower and thunderstorm activity today and this will include some heavy rainfall and strong-to-severe storms. The heat peaked on Thursday, but the high humidity levels will remain for another day and this moisture content will contribute to the potential for some downpours later today into tonight. Weak high pressure will build in for the weekend bringing us some improvement in the overall weather pattern.
