Discussion
The western Atlantic high pressure ridge will continue to influence our weather today and will keep us quite warm and humid. Low pressure troughing in the upper atmosphere will drop southward by the weekend and this will increase our chances for showers and thunderstorms. Any storm that forms in this air mass later this week and this weekend can produce heavy downpours and contain frequent lightning strikes.
