Discussion
High pressure ridging will weaken today and a broad trough of low pressure will swing towards the region from the Upper Midwest. The combination of an advancing frontal system and a moist air mass will raise the chances for showers and thunderstorms overnight and especially on Wednesday. Following the passage of the frontal system, temperatures will trend downward during the second half of the week to quite comfortable levels for late August.
