Discussion
The tropics are currently quite active with one system likely to have a major impact on Texas and Louisiana in coming days with tremendous rainfall and another system sitting just off the southeast coast of Florida. It is this second system that we’ll have to monitor closely in the near term as it will bring deep moisture into Florida and be a slow-mover. Conditions will also become more favorable for intensification over the next few days which could result in heavy rainfall anywhere along the Southeast US coastline from Florida to North Carolina.
