Discussion

The tropics are currently very active with Harvey about to slam into Texas and likely generating tremendous amounts of rainfall and a second tropical system churning near Florida. Harvey is going to slow down to a crawl and perhaps even be “forced” to do a loop over southeast Texas, but eventually its moisture is likely to push to the northeast and it could impact our region by the middle of next week.
