The remains of Hurricane Harvey continue to spread rain in the Deep South and a second tropical system is riding up along the east coast. This second tropical system has spread clouds our way and we'll experience occasional rainfall as well with very cool conditions for this time of year. The most significant rainfall from today's coastal system is likely to take place across eastern Virginia, southern New Jersey, and much of the Delmarva Peninsula before the system pushes out to sea, but all areas in the I-95 corridor between DC and NYC will receive some rainfall. Looking ahead, there is still no excessive heat in sight for the Mid-Atlantic region as the month of August winds down.
