Discussion

A strong high pressure ridge is centered across the western Atlantic Ocean and it’ll pump in moist air across the Tennessee Valley. An upper-level trough over the Great Plains will shift eastward over the next couple days and this combined with the high moisture content in the current air mass will result in a high chance of showers and thunderstorms for the area and some of the rain will likely be heavy at times going right into the middle of the week.
