Discussion
High pressure will continue to control our weather for the next several days in the Mid-Atlantic region leading to an extended period of dry and warm conditions. Meanwhile, Hurricane Maria is still a concern as it will slide to the east of the Bahama Island chain over the next couple of days and then make an uncomfortable approach to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. There is likely to be some interaction between Hurricane Maria and the remains of Jose in the north Atlantic and this will have an influence on the future path of Maria. It is still too early to write off the possibility that Hurricane Maria will eventually have some kind of impact on the US east coast.
