Discussion
A strong cold front has passed through the region and a band of snow will form behind the front in a fresh and very cold air mass. The snow may last awhile today as the frontal system has grinded to a halt and there can be accumulations by late in the day of 1-3 inches throughout the Tennessee Valley. Travel conditions could become quite hazardous given the combination of the snow and recent and current very cold ground-level conditions. Looking ahead, a noticeable warm up will begin late in the week and temperatures by Sunday could reach the 60 degree mark.
