Discussion

Another late week rain event is on the way for the Mid-Atlantic region. High pressure will push off the coast later today and clouds will increase by early tonight as low pressure pulls out of the central Plains. That low pressure will stay west of here on Friday as it heads for the Great Lakes and the result here will be milder, breezy conditions with periods of rain as we close out the work week. Some of the rain can fall heavily at times late tonight and during Friday morning. It'll gradually turn colder this weekend and another low pressure system is likely to stay to our south on Sunday. However, yet another low pressure system is likely to impact us here and bring us rain later New Year's Eve (Monday) into early New Year's Day (Tuesday).
