Discussion
A much better day is on tap for today following the dreary day on Wednesday which was filled with clouds and light rain. Today’s dramatic improvement will be rather short-lived; however, as a quick-moving low pressure system will impact the region late tonight and Friday with more clouds and rain. High pressure then pushes rapidly into the area on Saturday, but this will be quickly followed by a strong cold front passage on Saturday night and the front could spawn a few showers around here during the PM hours. Following this cold frontal passage, much cooler air will return for later Saturday night and Sunday with temperatures again below-normal for this time of year. Looking ahead, a major warm up is coming to the Mid-Atlantic region for the Tuesday-to-Friday time period of next week with the 80’s very likely for highs on some of those days.
