Discussion
A very wet weather pattern in the eastern US will continue for the next couple of days as deep tropical moisture continues to flow northward right up the along eastern seaboard from the tropical Atlantic to the Northeast US. The threat for showers and thunderstorms will be greatest here on Wednesday and Wednesday night aided by the movement to the northeast of an unusually strong upper-level trough of low pressure over the Southeast US. Flooding potential here will increase on Wednesday and Wednesday night as any shower or thunderstorm that forms in this tropical environment can produce heavy rainfall amounts in a short period of time.
