Discussion
Yet another extended period of wet weather is unfolding for the eastern third of the nation and it may include some downpours. Strong upper-level low pressure will develop over the Midwest in the coming days and it will combine with a Bermuda High to persistently pump moist air from south-to-north along the eastern seaboard. As a result, there will be an increasing chance of showers and thunderstorms later today and tonight and then a rather high chance through the remainder of the week. Given the fact that grounds are very well saturated throughout the region, flash flooding will remain an on-going serious threat.
