Discussion
A cool front passed through the region last night and its passage has brought us some welcome relief from the recent high humidity levels and wet pattern. Humidity will stay on the low side well into the weekend and tonight's late night low temperatures should bottom out in the very comfortable upper 50's in some spots. Heat and humidity will return during the first half of next week with 90 degree highs back on the table and it looks like it can stay on the hot and humid side right through Labor Day weekend. Elsewhere, Hurricane Lane has weakened in the last 24 hours or so from a 936 millibar central pressure reading early yesterday to 949 millibars this morning as it slowly churns near the Hawaiian Islands.
