Discussion
A cool front grudgingly crossed the area late yesterday and winds have shifted to a northeast direction following its passage resulting in a cooler air mass compared to the past few days. The front has stalled out in close proximity and that will keep us unsettled for the next few days with plenty of clouds around and occasional showers and possible thunderstorms and some of the rain can be heavy at times. Meanwhile, the tropical Atlantic is becoming more active and there may actually be a tropical system near the Florida Peninsula or the Gulf of Mexico by the time Labor Day (Monday) rolls around.
