Discussion
Low pressure will pull out the Gulf states today and head northeast towards the Tennessee Valley region. As a result, the threat for showers will continue today and given cooling aloft, there may even be a rumble of thunder or two. The low pressure system will exit the area early tonight and high pressure will build in from west-to-east early this weekend. Both weekend days are likely to feature plenty of sunshine with only moderately cool temperatures on Saturday and then milder conditions early next week.
