Discussion

High pressure pushes off the coast today and this will open the door for much warmer air to push in from our southwest. Temperatures should climb back to the 80 degree mark this afternoon and then make a run at 90 degrees on Wednesday – perhaps even challenging the record for the date in some spots. Much cooler air arrives on Thursday and Friday and it stays cool going into the upcoming weekend. We'll start to turn warmer again early next week and there will likely be a chance for showers and thunderstorms on Sunday night and Monday.
