Discussion
A much colder-than-normal air mass has dropped into the western and central US and will spread across the nation over the next few days albeit in a modified form. A strong cold front at the leading edge of this air mass will arrive here in the Tennessee Valley early Thursday and we’ll likely experience some heavy rainfall and possible strong thunderstorms on Wednesday and Wednesday night. Much cooler air will push into the area late in the week and our highs may be confined to the 50’s by the upcoming weekend.
