Discussion
It has turned dramatically cooler today on the heels of an overnight frontal passage and skies will remain cloudy with occasional showers. Temperatures have likely already peaked for the day and will tend to drop slowly over the next few hours. A secondary cool front will usher in a reinforcing cool air mass for tomorrow and Saturday and temperatures by early Saturday morning are likely to be at the lowest levels so far this season in the Mid-Atlantic region. It’ll turn a bit warmer on Sunday and Monday and there may be a significant rain event along the I-95 corridor during the Sunday night/Monday time period with the arrival of another frontal system.
