Discussion
Quite a change is in store for temperatures today as we begin a new work week with an amplifying trough moving into the Tennessee Valley. As a result, temperatures will be confined to the low-to-mid 70’s for highs and there are likely to be some showers and thunderstorms across the area as a cold front swings through. Any thunderstorm that forms later today can generate heavy rainfall. A seasonal fall day is expected tomorrow as northerly flow will continue across the area. By the middle of the week, high pressure will build back into the area and this will allow temperatures to climb back to the low-to-mid 80's for highs. Another cool front arrives here late in the week bringing with it another cooler air mass for the Tennessee Valley the weekend.
