Discussion
A significant winter weather event will begin here tonight as copious amounts of moisture flows northeastward into the Mid-Atlantic region. Snow is likely to break out by later tonight and continue into Tuesday with accumulations of 2-5 inches possible by morning. Snow will then change to sleet and freezing rain on Tuesday before ultimately changing to plain rain late as temperatures climb above the freezing mark. More frozen precipitation is possible later tomorrow night for a brief time as the storm winds down.
