High pressure ridging will intensify in the area and temperatures will respond by climbing well up into the 80’s for highs during the next few days. A long-wave trough of low pressure will slide into the middle of the country later in the week and this will increase chances here for showers and thunderstorms. The wetter weather pattern that begins at mid-week will continue right through the upcoming weekend.
