Discussion
An active weather pattern will greet the new work week as an upper-level wave of energy swings through the southern states. Warm and moist air will surge into the Tennessee Valley as the shortwave approaches and this will enhance chances for showers and thunderstorms and temperatures will peak well up in the 70’s. In addition, the strong upward motion that will accompany the upper-level feature in this region can lead to some strong thunderstorm activity and some heavy downpours over the next 24 hours or so.
