6-Day forecast for the DC metro region

Tonight

Evening showers possible, maybe a thunderstorm; otherwise, mainly cloudy skies, mild, lows in the low-to-mid 60’s

Saturday

Partly sunny, warm, cannot completely rule out a PM shower or two, lower 80’s for afternoon highs

Saturday Night

Mainly cloudy, mild, chance for a shower or thunderstorm, mid 60’s for overnight lows

Sunday

Partly sunny, quite warm, cannot rule out a couple of PM showers, maybe a thunderstorm, mid-to-upper 80’s

Monday

Partly sunny, quite warm, chance for a shower or thunderstorm, low-to-mid 80’s

Tuesday

Mainly sunny, not as warm, mid 70’s

Wednesday

Mainly sunny, warm, upper 70’s

Discussion

A cold front will move through the region later and it can be accompanied by a few showers, maybe a strong thunderstorm or two. High pressure will build in for the weekend which promises to be warm along with some sunshine each day, but a few showers cannot be ruled out on either day. Another front arrives on Monday and it may result in a few more showers for the Mid-Atlantic region, maybe a thunderstorm.
