Discussion
A frontal system to our south this morning will push northward as a warm front later in the day and temperatures are likely to climb to the low-to-mid 70's in the NYC metro region. Showers are possible later today and again tonight and then are likely to threaten us later tomorrow and tomorrow night as a cold front approaches the area. That cold front will then stall in the Mid-Atlantic region this weekend and a wave of low pressure will bring more showers and thunderstorms here from later Saturday into early Sunday and this system has the potential for some heavy rainfall.
